All Drummond Farm wines are produced from grapes grown on our own vineyard. Our aim is to provide enjoyment from the flavours and stories that have been created at our small parcel of soil and to express what this land has to offer.
If you would like to purchase our wine head over to the shop - we really appreciate it!
Our Estate Pinot Noir was established to showcase what our vineyard has to offer. We grow an array of Pinot Noir clones of which we picked two rows of each and co fermented them - a true vineyard expression. We are also proud to say this wine is unfiltered and unfined with minimal sulphur addition before bottling.
A delightful elegant, perfumed Pinot Noir with smokey, leather, dark coco nib aromas that evolve into red bramble fruits that leave with a silky tannin structure
Made from a low-yielding clone of Chardonnay (Mendoza) which produces a small bunch structure that provides the basis for perfect flavor intensity. Hand picked by mum, dad and myself this wine is truly 'handcrafted'. Whole bunch foot tred (like the good days) in a traditional French basket press, the juice was then left to ferment in French oak barrels. It was matured in barrel for 13 months and we are proud to say this wine is unfiltered and unfined with minimal sulphur addition before bottling.
Perfect balance between light acidity and stone fruit aromas with good length and palate weight, well matched with Asian cuisine or spicy dishes
Back Block Pinot
As a counter balance to our Estate Pinot Noir we have now turned our hand to a single block focus. Our Back Block Pinot Noir is a in-depth expression of what one particular block has to offer, 80% of the grapes come from one clone (Clone 5/ UCD5) and the remainder split between clones 667 and 144. We are proud to say this wine is unfiltered and unfined with minimal sulphur addition before bottling.
A more rustic masculine wine with leather, chocolate aromas which are met with a mid palate tannins structure that lingers
Our Pinot Gris was made with a focus on subtle flavor rather than alcohol content.
It was hand harvested before being barrel fermented in French oak with no additives during this time. Nashi pear and subtle lemon zest aromas become apparent that develop into a refreshing wine with good length. An off-dry, food friendly, textured wine has been the result of quality grapes and careful wine making.
